The Cangrejeros de Santurce secured an exciting 98-93 victory over the Indios de Mayagüez in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). The game, held at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente, started with a 7-0 run in favor of the home team, who dominated much of the first half. Despite the Indios keeping the game close, the first quarter ended tied at 22. Santurce won the second quarter 24-22 and went into halftime with a slim lead of 46-44. Throughout the first twenty minutes, there were 24 lead changes, reflecting the competitiveness of the match.
In the third quarter, the Indios took control with a score of 31-29, but the Cangrejeros maintained their lead and entered the final period ahead 75-69. In the closing minutes, Mayagüez threatened a comeback, but Santurce executed effectively from the free-throw line to secure the win at home. Ángel Rodríguez was the top scorer for the Cangrejeros with 22 points and 6 assists, while Walter Hodge contributed 18 points and 5 assists. Davon Jefferson and Ángel Matías also added 13 and 12 points, respectively.
On the Indios side, Eugene German stood out with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Tyrell Harrison added 26 points and 11 rebounds.
